Formal invitations go out 8–12 weeks before. But a Save the Date much earlier gives guests time to book travel and time off — especially for destination or summer weddings where weekends fill up fast.
Don't chase menu choices separately — it doubles your admin. Ask guests to pick their meal at the same time they RSVP. One form, one answer, one less thing to worry about. Your caterer will thank you.
